Which Nigerian president would remove fuel subsidy?

PMB and APC were opposed to fuel subsidy before they came to power.

PMB once claimed that fuel subsidy was a scam but his administration continues to pay from May 2015 till today.

PMB has promised that fuel subsidy would be removed next year - June 2023 which would be a month after he must have finished his 8 years in office and handed over power to the next president.

So, PMB failed or refused to remove the fuel subsidy as president but has shifted that responsibility to a totally new administration that would not be under any obligation to do it.

Remember when GEJ set up a Constitutional Conference but didn't implement the recommendations but expected PMB and APC to implement his agenda?

4 years is more than enough for any president to do whatever he wants to do.

Presidents that set agendas for new administrations are only playing on the intelligence of Nigerians.

Fuel subsidy needs to go but more importantly those that use the fuel subsidy as excuse to rake in millions and billions of Naira should be punished accordingly even if it means sending them to the life after.

A society that rewards or fails to punish mindless thieves and criminals cannot make any meaningful progress and the economy would always have problems.

Some Nigerians are buying PMS at N240/litre while some pay as much as N300/litre.

Would removal of fuel subsidy lead to decrease in cost of PMS? I doubt it because deregulated products like diesel and cooking gas where subsidy regimes don't exist continue to rise to the extent they have become luxury items that only the rich can easily afford.

Some Nigerians are jobless, some earn as low as N18,000.00 in a month whereas some Nigerians steal millions of Naira every day without any end in sight and without the will to deal with them.

Something must give. We cannot continue like this as if we live in a jungle where only the strongest survive as stronger animals wake up every day looking for weaker animals to eat so they will remain alive.

We can do better. We can fix Nigeria and make it work as it should.
